Key Features
Multiple Booking Fees: Configure multiple booking fees with different conditions.
Dynamic Fee Application: Fees apply dynamically based on ticket type, event type, and purchase channel.
Priority Ordering: Set priority levels to control the order in which booking fees are applied.
Automatic Updates: Any changes made in the admin panel reflect immediately across systems.
Setting Up Booking Fees
1. Accessing the Booking Fees Section
Navigate to Admin Settings.
Select Booking Fees.
2. Configuring Booking Fees
General Message: Display a message to customers about booking fees during checkout.
Booking Fee Name: Assign a unique name to each fee.
Application Type: Choose whether the fee applies to Tickets or Orders.
Applicable Channels:
Website: Applied to online purchases.
Register: Applied to in-person POS purchases.
Phone: Applied to telephone orders.
External: Applied to third-party ticketing purchases.
Tax Settings: Define applicable taxes.
Include in Ticket Price: Optionally display the booking fee as part of the ticket price.
3. Setting Booking Fee Restrictions
Event-Based Fees: Apply fees only to specific events.
Example: A Live Event Fee applies only to tickets with the Live Event badge.
Channel-Specific Fees: Restrict fees to specific purchase methods.
Example: An Online Fee applies only to website or external purchases.
Conditional Fees:
Exclude free tickets from certain booking fees.
Apply a Concession Fee if concessions are included in the order.
Understanding Booking Fee Application
1. Priority Ordering
The system checks each booking fee in order of priority.
If a booking fee condition is met, it is applied, and lower-priority fees are ignored.
To reorder priorities:
Click Set Priority.
Drag and reorder fees.
2. Real-Time Application
Fees update dynamically based on event type, purchase method, and order details.
Example Scenarios:
Purchasing Alien: Romulus from the register applies a Standard Booking Fee.
Purchasing Deadpool & Wolverine (marked as a Live Event) applies an Event Fee.
Online purchases receive an Online Fee instead of a standard booking fee.
Adding concessions applies a Concession Fee to the order.
3. System Updates
Any admin changes to booking fee settings apply immediately.
Disabling a booking fee removes it from future transactions but does not affect already completed purchases.
Draft booking fees update dynamically without requiring manual intervention.
Benefits of the New System
Greater Flexibility: Customize fees per ticket type, event type, and purchase channel.
Improved Transparency: Easily view all booking fee conditions in one place.
Better Control: Adjust and prioritize fees to match business needs.
Seamless Updates: Automatic propagation of changes across systems.
We hope these enhancements improve your booking management and enhance the customer experience at your cinema.
